Søren Thomsen, COO at Uggerhøj, asked his network on LinkedIn for advice on Power BI and help with implementing the product. Accobat and another consulting house courted the task, and it was Accobat that Søren fell for.
"It's about good chemistry when you have to start a project like that," says Søren. “Accobat possesses the knowledge that gives me security. We tested both consulting houses, and Accobat showed that they had control over data structure, and that is crucial for the success of a Business Intelligence project. There must be control of data warehousing and data discipline.
We could probably handle it ourselves a long way along the way, but it would not be well documented. At the same time, we would make too many mistakes, and it would be more expensive to correct than it would cost us to involve professionals from the start of the project. ”
The project gained momentum when the chairman of the board joined the executive board, and Uggerhøj started working with performance management reporting. Unfortunately, it was too cumbersome to extract data from their many source systems. It had to be automated. Up to 25 systems were to be assembled in a data warehouse.
